Responsibilities:

In your role as Data Engineer you will be required to carry out the following key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Management: Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines using Fivetran to ensure efficient data ingestion from multiple sources into our data warehouse.
  • Reverse ETL: Implement and manage reverse ETL processes using Hightouch to ensure data from our warehouse is synced to various operational systems for improved decision-making across the organization.
  • Data Warehousing: Architect and maintain the data warehouse infrastructure on Snowflake, ensuring data is organized, accessible, and performant for downstream use.
  • Data Modelling: Leverage dbt (data build tool) to create robust, scalable, and reusable data models that empower analytics and reporting across the company.
  • Collaboration with Analytics Teams: Partner with data analysts software developers and business stakeholders to understand data needs, optimize data pipelines, and ensure data models meet business requirements.
  • Tableau Integration: Work closely with the data analysts to ensure seamless integration of data models with Tableau, enabling impactful visualizations and reporting.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Implement and maintain best practices for data quality, governance, and documentation to ensure high trust in the data and processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data processes, infrastructure, tooling and overall system performance, driving a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
