Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our IT health system team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in migrating data from Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly Epic, and Human Resources (HR) systems into Oracle. Additionally, proficiency with no/low code tools such as Alteryx is essential. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless integration and migration of data to support our organization’s operational and analytical needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in data migration from EMR systems, with a strong preference for Epic.
- Experience in migrating data from HR systems into Oracle databases.
- Proficiency with no/low code tools such as Alteryx.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Strong SQL skills and experience with database management systems.
- Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
SOFT SKILLS:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the healthcare industry.
- Certification in Epic data management or related areas.
- Familiarity with other data integration tools and platforms.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Migration: Lead the migration of data from EMR systems (e.g., Epic) and HR systems into Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Data Integration: Develop and maintain data integration workflows using no/low code tools such as Alteryx to streamline data processes.
- Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of migrated data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, HR, and clinical departments, to understand data requirements and provide technical support.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data migration processes, data mappings, and integration workflows.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize data migration and integration processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve data-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
