Description:
Your tasks
Your primary responsibilities include:
- You will be part of a young international team of data engineers & digital transformation developers, utilizing the latest Cloud based data Lakehouse platforms to harmonize and enrich Continental Automotive data as basis for analysis, reporting and AI. Within the scope of all Automotive, you will collaborate on projects with cross-functional teams and specialists from business and IT side;
- You will create and maintain automated data pipelines from various sources and business domains and bring them into a uniform layout. This includes the underlaying data modeling, transformation and preparation of the data to be the basis for data analysis, reporting and AI use cases;
- Your will be responsible for reliable maintaining of data (storage format, data availability & data integrity) including following Cybersecurity and IT security standards;
- You will make sure your ETL pipelines are continuously monitored and optimized to keep as reliable, fast and efficient as possible;
- Show interest in current developments as well as trends and market developments in Data Engineering and DevOps by staying up to date with recent methodologies, incorporating them into daily work.
Your profile
Required technical and professional expertise:
- Studies in computer science, applied mathematics, machine learning or similar;
- Preferred several years of experience as Data Engineer and/or DevOps and/or DataOps;
- Expert in building robust and automated data pipelines with ETL tools;
- Expert in analyzing requirements and processes in order to design solutions based on them;
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and solutions (like Databricks or Redshift).
- Experience of backend and DevOps technologies such as Git, Docker, KubeFlow is a plus;
- Practical experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies is a plus;
- Practical experience with SQL, Python, GIT and PowerBI;
- Understanding of basic Data Science workloads and requirements;
- Very good quick comprehension;
- Analytical, structured and conceptually strong working methodology;
- Ability to express complex concepts in a comprehensible language for non-specialists;
- Very good command of English (both written and spoken);
- Very good communication skills.
