Description:
Evidensia is undergoing an exciting digital transformation. Key to this is to improve the management of our core data sets and unlocking new insightful data points. This role plays a key role to accelerate our ability to collect and provide insights our IT systems and processes, allowing us to ultimately make better decisions as a company and for our patients.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a self-starter, that is decisive and able to work at pace. The candidate should be confident to prioritise, take ownership and make appropriate decisions to drive topics forward.
Moreover, the following following are key qualifications of the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related data infrastructure role.
- Experience building and maintaining pipelines. This includes the use of REST APIs, JSON and ELT technologies/protocols for moving data between systems. Proficiency with Azure platform
- Solid experience with programming languages such as Python
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues
- Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices
- Comfortable with being the face of IT – working directly with Finance, Marketing and other business units – for the systems and services in scope.
- Capable of interfacing the IT Infrastructure team to ensure non-functional requirements, such as performance, scalability, resilience and identity/access management, are effectively delivered in the end-to-end solution.
- Communicate fluently in English and a Scandinavian language.
Location: The role is located at Evidensia office in Stockholm, with the possibility of working partly from home.

Responsibilities:
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Design and implement target architecture for data platform
- Ensure timely delivery of data by monitoring and troubleshooting issues with data quality or pipelines
- Ensure data quality by implementing data validation checks and regular monitoring.
- Optimize data platform performance, efficiency and security
- Implement ETL processes to support an efficient BI platform in collaboration with BI analysts
- Ownership of access and security processes in collaboration with IT Service Desk
- Work as a project resource with requirement specifications and data integration development
- Document and maintain documentation of data processes such as architecture, DLP, and security and compliance protocols
- Monitor development of data engineering topics outside of the organization to ensure that we are moving towards a future-proof set-u
