Description:

Our goal is for every company in Europe to invest in secure, transparent, and local nature projects through their green account!
We’re looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on data pipelines and maps, who is ready to drive our mission of building Europe’s leading nature trading platform to unlock nature restoration at scale.
We offer you the unique opportunity to work in a strong startup team of 10 people, and to collaborate with the CTO to build the tech foundation.
If you’re passionate about the environment and sustainability and want to be part of a future where investments in nature and biodiversity are transparent, standardized, and secure, then you’re the perfect fit for us!

Tasks

  • Extract, transform, and refine data, often GIS related, to enhance our projects.
  • Establish the groundwork for our data pipelines and select the right tools with us.
  • Design models that bring up new insights, like forecasts of ecosystem services, hotspots, etc.
  • Bring data in shapes that serves maps, visualisations, frontends and integrations.
  • Collaborate with the full team with all relevant stake.

Requirements

  • Experience with Python, Postgres and ETL
  • Experiences with GIS tools, like PostGIS or QGIS is a big plus
  • Able to setup basic data related DevOps work (deployment, monitoring) on your own
  • Willing to pick up topics, build things, experiment and refine
  • Regardless of your experience level, we’re looking for someone who’s eager to take the ownership to build our data pipeline setup.
  • German skills are a plus

Benefits

  • A meaningful role in a company that drives real, sustainable impact by recreating nature today.
  • Competitive salary.
  • A lot of freedom to shape your role, decision making and influence the company’s success.
  • Room to grow with the team into topics and roles.
  • Hybrid work environment, offices in Berlin and Bielefeld.
  • Regular team meetups, workshops to connect and collaborate.
  • Startup environment – but with traction, revenue and funding.
  • We have an extensive network not only in the biodiversity scene, but also to the key players, the landowners.

Are you ready to shape the future of natural capital markets? Join our team at green account and help us unlock the full potential of nature
