Data Engineer for Cloud-Based Data Infrastructure

We are seeking a skilled and proactive mid-level Data Engineer for an assignment with a leading client in data infrastructure and cloud-based analytics. In this role, you’ll leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to build scalable data solutions that drive insights and support business decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong experience with the GCP ecosystem and related services.
• Skilled in using Terraform for automated infrastructure setup.
• GCP Data Engineer certification.
• Proficiency in PowerBI for reporting and data visualization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience with Azure and related services is a plus.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing efficient data pipelines, enabling data flow, scheduling processes, and ensuring that the right data reaches the right users at the right time. Your tasks will include pipeline orchestration, data modeling, and data visualization solutions using PowerBI.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizing GCP services, including Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and more.
• Building and implementing pipelines with Dataproc (using PySpark).
• Orchestrating pipelines with Cloud Composer.
• Data modeling and transformation using dbt.
• Managing infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Developing reporting and visualization solutions using PowerBI.
