Description:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor of Computer Science/Engineering (similar).

EXPERIENCE

  • 2-5 years of experience as a data engineer / data warehouse developer or cloud engineer within the data and analytics domain.
  • Experience in building and managing the cloud infrastructure required for a data platform in AWS. Particularly Redshift, Athena, S3, CDK, EMR, Glue, RDS, EC2, Buildkite, Snowflake, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow (MWAA) and Lambd.
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows, Dev Ops tools/techniques, Test Driven Development, git, Infrastructure as Code practices & productionising data services.
  • Experienced in designing and implementing data warehouse models such as dimensional models, star & snowflake schemas.
  • Experience in ingesting and processing data from various types of source systems and data formats such as API’s, CSV, JSON, DMS.
  • Experience with a modern enterprise-grade BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI favourable.

SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE

  • Advanced working SQL and Python software development knowledge and experience.
  • Best practice knowledge of data platform concepts - data lake, data warehouse, ETL, big data processing (designing and supporting variety/velocity/volume), real time event streaming and stream processing architecture for data platforms.

The role will see you join a group of talented data engineers, ML engineers, data scientists and data analysts, where you’ll use your previous experience in developing new and effective ways to store and access organisational data. This means having worked across the design, build and testing of data architectures and platforms. You will be a key enabler of data driven decision making across Catch by making data clean and accessible.
