As a Data Engineer, you’ll work in a cross-functional team to create data solutions using internal and external data sources. You find challenges exciting and enjoy discovering and defining problems as much as solving them. You are a cross-disciplinary team member and excited to work with and learn from other Data Engineers and Business Intelligence experts. You are comfortable communicating across teams. EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • University or Bachelor’s degree required: Computer Science or Engineering preferred
  • Min. 3 yrs experience in data modelling and/or Data Analytics Engineering handling large quantities of complex data
  • Experience with data engineering - ETL/ELT Pipelines, Data Lakes, Database Management, etc
  • Proficiency with Python/SQL is expected
  • 2 year experience with Databricks, Snowflake or dbt is required
  • Experience building Infrastructure for data analytics solutions is required
  • Experience with with PowerBI, Tableau or Qlik
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions) is a plus
  • Experience in applying data quality frameworks and monitoring is a plus
  • Ability to work in agile software processes
  • Previous hands-on experience in analytics projects with an enthusiastic, can-do attitude
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in both business and technology
  • English profficiency is expected (at least C1)

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines for collecting, storing, and processing large volumes of data from a variety of sources in our commercial cloud data warehouse based on Snowflake and dbt
  • Work with Business Intelligence developers and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Create data products for analytics and business stakeholders to improve their productivity. Support the business customers with their commercial requirements by translating it into technical business intelligence solutions
  • Assume responsibility for coordinating, implementing and testing new business requirements and specific functionalities and manage user acceptance tests
  • Consult & empower the wider organization to implement & reinforce a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale stability, and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutions
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and systems to ensure they are running efficiently
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data engineering and analytics, and continually seek out new ways to improve processes and technologies
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data-related issues and challenges
