QUICK SNAPSHOT:

We are looking for a savvy Data Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts. The hire will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline infrastructure, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams. The candidate should be experienced in building data pipeline and a data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. The Data Engineer will work closely with our backend engineers, data engineers as well as business users on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products.

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Implementing working data projects based on given technical specifications
• Develop real-time and batch data ingesting and processing pipelines using modern technologies (Kafka, Apache Beam, Apache Airflow etc) to be used for analysis, dashboards, alerts, and visualizations.
• Monitor & manage data pipelines and automate the process
• Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

  Who are we looking for?

• MS/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other quantitative field

• 3+ years of experience developing end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions: data modeling, ETL and reporting
• Expertise with at least one programming language – Python, Java or Scala
• Proficient in writing Advanced SQLs
• Experience in building reports and/or data visualization
• Data analysis skill – define arguments with data and proper visualization
• Preferred knowledge/skill with data platforms on Cloud (BigQuery, Snowflake, Cloud Data Flow, Managed Apache Spark)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Effective troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Strong team player who is customer oriented
• Possesses the urgency and drive, with a great sense of ownership
