Description:

At Provation, data is core to our success. We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer who will help lead efforts to design, build and maintain enterprise-grade, high-performance data solutions for both external customers as well as internal departments. The Data Engineer will help develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise data architectures, perform complex data queries, manage ETL/ELT processes, and aid with data analysis and reporting. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and scale internal and external data sources to support new product launches and drive data quality across products and reporting
  • Implement best practices around systems integration, security, performance, and data management of complex data systems
  • Work closely with Product Management and other functional teams to evaluate, develop and maintain innovative data solutions for Provation products
  • Provide insight into system data quality, recommend, and implement solutions to resolve data quality issues
  • Work with a great deal of autonomy to find solutions to complex problems and learn new, cutting-edge technologies in ML/AI
  • Deliver high-quality and on-schedule work according to Agile software development methodology
  • Participate in Agile activities including daily stand ups, estimations, and backlog grooming and review
  • Promote and ensure standards and framework compliance
  • Participate in code reviews providing guidance to Development and QA team members

Job Requirements:

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on modern design patterns
  • Demonstrated ability implementing scalable data architectures and developing ETL/ELT processes
  • Experience with data integrity with a focus on data completeness and quality
  • Proficiency in SQL database design, development, and performance tuning
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
  • Expertise in technologies such as: Azure Data Factory, Snowflake
  • Experience implementing data protection in highly sensitive environments (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
