WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for 2 Data Engineers - our preferred new team members, will already be proven Data Engineers, who preferably hold a degree level or equivalent in computer science/engineering, however if you don’t have a degree, but can demonstrate a strong successful data engineering track record, then fantastic!
You will have a strong track record in SQL competency, relational databases, query authoring, and a working familiarity with various database technologies.
You will be competent in Python programming language, and competent understanding of data modelling, database design and database optimisation techniques. Strong problem solving and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently, proactively and with cross functional teams.
It would be great if you also have experience with big data technologies such as Spark and Kafka, data pipeline and workflow management tools: Luigi, Airflow, etc. It would be even better if you are familiar with machine learning Python packages such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and have experience of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and containerisation technologies. Strong experience extracting data with APIs (application programming interfaces).
