OVERVIEW

We are the team that provides the metrics and analytical products that drive change in DevOps practices across the bank. We provide the key measures that track performance and capabilities of our engineering teams across the world, and the critical insights and intelligence that leadership teams rely on to shape and deliver strategic change.
We drive DevOps transformation through our Data, Analytics & Practices, and we’re looking for data engineers to join our team in the next stage of our evolution.

Requirements

• Experience of data engineering, ETL, streaming
• Experience of data modelling
• Experience with Qlik Sense analytics tooling
• Experience making trade-offs when designing schemas and marts
• Experience with implementing automated data quality solutions
• Experience in orchestration and scheduling
• Experience working in a DevOps environment, i.e. think, build, and run
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deliver

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Analytics & Insights team is part of the CTO DevOps Services department, responsible for providing the metrics and analytical products that drive iterative improvement in DevOps practices across the bank. We have team members across Europe, India and Latin America working across metrics, insights and providing the platform capabilities that underpin these and are scaling up our engineering team in Poland to support the creation of greenfield cloud data platform capability along with supporting ecosystem components. The successful candidate will join an existing multi-disciplinary team of systems and data engineers and be focused on defining and implementing data schemas, pipelines, marts etc. in partnership with other team members to take raw data and turn it into enriched datasets for our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This Role involves:

• Responsibility for data ingest, refinement and presentation - design, development, testing, coding, and deploying to production
• Operating and iterating a cloud data platform capability to support our internal goals
• Operating and iterating a Qlik Sense analytics platform capability to support our internal goals
• Focus on quality, time and budget constraints
• Communicating efficiently within the team and business stakeholders
• Working with global diverse teams
• Working in an Agile product-oriented culture
