WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. You will use various methods to ingest raw data and provide transformed data objects optimized for data analytics, data science, and business purposes. You should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. You will be joining a young, diverse team in Berlin working in an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboratively develop a Data Platform using Snowflake and dbt
- Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
- Excellent analytic skills associated with working on structured and unstructured datasets
- Prepare data for modeling
- Conduct research and collaborate with business owners as part of solution design
- Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency, and metadata
- Work as a part of an agile team in collaboration with a larger data organization with a goal of successful project delivery
- Participate in design and code reviews and provide appropriate recommendations
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing and maintaining good practices and habits
- Work with the security and operations team to make sure processes and products are stable and secure
- Work with the data governance lead to design, implement, and manage a company data governance strategy
