CORE FOCUS AREAS OF THE DNA AAA TEAM:

Data Collection & Analysis: We translate business problems into data models, design innovative data visualizations, and clean data to support predictive analytics solutions.
Data Quality & Integrity: We evaluate large datasets for quality and accuracy, determine root causes for data quality errors, and recommend long-term solutions.
Data Modeling & Harmonization: We understand the data model in terms of business processes, drive improvement actions on data modeling and data harmonization, and write testing plans and routines.
Data Engineering & Automation: We automate data collection, manage continuous integration and regression testing processes, and ensure data is cleared for release according to delivery specifications.
Project Management & Maintenance: We drive datamodelling documentation activities, manage maintenance work after projects go live, and act as the point person for clearing data for release.
Proactive Decision Making: We design data models for innovative data visualization and predictive analytics solutions to drive proactive decision making.
Position: Data Engineer Trainee
Duration: Fixed term for 6 months with potential contract renewal

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field of study required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrable analytics experience including ability to synthesize and present intelligence derived from data
• Expresses company’s brand, culture and values

SKILLS:

• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Talent for quickly learning new tasks
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong analytical and interpretive skills with the ability to make copious amounts of data into an insightful story with actionable recommendation
• Hands-on experience with current Business Intelligence tools like MS PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview
• Experience with database solutions such Oracle SQL, MS SQL, MS SSAS, Azure MS SQL
• Proficiency in transact SQL
• High ethical standards; able to manage confidential information and projects
• Passionate about moving from data and insight to action and impact with a sense of urgency
• Good interpersonal skills to work as part of a team combined with ability to engage with variety of stakeholders
