ARE YOU QUALIFIED?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• Proficient in Matillion or other ETL/ELT tools
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling and data warehouse concepts
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse solutions.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills

ABOUT THE ROLE

Trojan Technologies is looking for a dedicated Data Engineer who can use Matillion and Snowflake to build scalable and reliable data pipelines for dashboards and reports that support our business needs. The Data Engineer will serve as a key member of the Data Management and Analytics team, responsible for data lake house design and maintenance, data modeling, data standardization and data governance.
This position will be apart of the Data Management and Analytics team and will be a hybrid reporting to the Sr Manager, Data Management and Analytics.

THE ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

• Design, develop and maintain data integration workflows using the Matillion ETL/ELT platform.
• Extract, load and transform data from various sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, Salesforce, etc. via Matillion into a cloud data lake house (Snowflake)
• Identify, promote, and support changes in processes and procedures needed to ensure proper data collection, quality, and standardization.
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Apply best practices and standards to ensure proper data security and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues and performance bottlenecks.
