WHAT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?
A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or another technical field required
- 1-3 years of professional experience as ETL/ELT developer
- Strong SQL skills and ability to write python code and shell scripting
- Experience coordinating with Change Management and Incident Management teams for production issues
- Ability to triage issues and take resolution steps immediately
- Ability to create good written documentation of detailed technical processes
- Experience with any of the following a plus: Talend, SAP DI, AWS S2 and Redshift, Oracle PL/SQL
Responsibilities:
- Understand requirements, build, test, and support high-quality ETL or ELT data pipelines using Talend/python/Java/SQL and/or SAP DI
- Understand the project scope, identify activities and task-level estimates, schedule dependencies risk and provide inputs to the project lead for review
- Analyze functional/nonfunctional requirements and seek clarifications for better understanding of requirements
- Combine/Integrate data from various sources, cleanse, standardize and load into OLTP, OLAP and data warehouse targets (on premise and cloud)
- Identify and remediate problems in production pipelines and integration jobs
- Prepare the LLD/ detailed design documents based on HLD
- Partner with reporting, analytics, and machine learning teams on requirements and testing and troubleshooting
- Mentor junior team members and perform code reviews plus quality control
This is an onsite position at our office in San Diego, CA.
