Description:

The Michigan Milk Producers Association is looking for a Part-time Data Entry Administrator to join our team, in our Mt. Pleasant facility. As a Data Entry Administrator (Part-Time) you will accurately enter and manage data related to inventory, orders, and shipments within the farm supply warehouse. This role is essential in ensuring that all records are up-to-date and that the warehouse operates smoothly. The Data Entry Administrator will work closely with the warehouse and customer service teams to ensure data integrity and support efficient warehouse operations.

ABOUT US:

The Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) – established in 1916 – is a dairy farmer-owned and operated milk marketing cooperative and dairy processor. As the 10th largest dairy cooperative in the U.S., MMPA serves dairy farmers throughout Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Indiana, employing approximately 625 people in four states. In addition to a cheese plant in Indiana called the Middlebury Cheese Company, and a dairy product plant in Ohio called Superior Dairy, MMPA operates two SQF Level 3 dairy ingredient plants in Michigan. Products made at MMPA’s plants include fluid milk, cheese, ultra-filtered milk, ice cream, butter, nonfat dry milk, cream, and condensed skim milk.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in data entry, administration, or a similar role is preferred. -Experience in a warehouse or supply chain environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends or evenings as needed, with the possibility of additional hours during peak periods.

Responsibilities:

Data Entry:

  • Accurately enter data related to inventory, orders, and shipments into the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP system.
  • Update records for received shipments, including product descriptions, quantities, and locations.
  • Ensure that all customer orders are entered correctly and promptly into the system.

Inventory Management Support:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by regularly updating stock levels in the system.
  • Monitor inventory discrepancies and report any inconsistencies to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Support inventory audits by providing accurate data and reports.

Order Processing:

  • Input and track customer orders in the system, ensuring that all information is accurate and complete.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure that orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.
  • Assist in generating pick lists and shipping labels as required.

Reporting:

  • Generate and distribute routine reports related to inventory, order fulfillment, and shipments.
  • Assist in preparing data for monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Provide data support for any ad-hoc reporting requests from management.

Customer Service Support:

  • Work with the customer service team to ensure that customer inquiries and issues are resolved quickly and accurately.
  • Update customer information in the system as needed.
  • Assist in tracking and resolving order discrepancies.

General Administrative Support:

  • Assist with general administrative tasks related to warehouse operations, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all warehouse-related documentation.

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily office-based within the warehouse environment.
  • The role may involve occasional interaction with warehouse staff on the warehouse floor.
  • The work environment may include exposure to varying temperatures typical of a warehouse setting
