JOB DESCRIPTION:

In this rapidly changing world, an agile supply chain makes the difference for our customer and consumers. It transforms the way Mars SC works: more connected, transparent, faster, agile, customer focused and digital. In short, an exciting human centric, digital transformation journey for the whole Mars Supply Chain.
The (Supply Chain) Center of Excellence – CoE – is the catalyst of this transformation. The team services the European sourcing circle. It drives the transformation through monitoring planning ways of working, provide action driven insights to the business, identify, and support best practices internal and external, build new capabilities, processes, tools, and dashboards, and storing and retrieving the right data with appropriate quality checks.
In the CoE, the Data Excellence Steward has a key role to play in this change as data is the fuel for any future way of working to ensure full and timely transparency of what is going on around us. You will be responsible for ensuring data availability and data quality as part of the CoE.
This sounds easier than it is. • Build measures for data quality. Ensure data quality checks are built, documented, and trained. Drive active reviewed by the business by focussing on business value and ideally prevent them from occurring through process optimization or automation.
  • Build a data definition “Wikipedia” in collaboration with the OpEx team to ensure data definitions are recorded in a structural way
  • Responsible for technical data assessments and comparison to confirm we have a robust data infrastructure with one version of the truth
  • Contribute to the data excellence roadmap by implementing foundational data improvements
  • For the data quality rules that are already defined, identify areas for data quality improvement automation, process control and improvement, and/or skills enhancement.
  • Support short term data issues to ensure the right data quality rules are in place. Provides insights on issue drivers through analysis to appropriate stakeholders across the organization
  • Derives and manages continuous improvement action plans with the respective stakeholders to improve data quality as it relates to supply chain data covering both planning master data and transactional data
  • Keep the overview of data-related issues and tickets and following-up on pro-active and preventive resolutions
  • Support the data literacy journey in building data definitions and give the data context that allow to follow the context in which data is maintained and used to better understand the business logic applied and needed for excellent execution.
