As a Data Expert within PNC’s EDM Enterprise Data Consumption organization, you will be based either in Columbus, OH or Strongsville, OH or Pittsburgh, PA. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

Functions as a data expert supporting Commercial model monitoring, model development, and other Commercial asset-based analytics. The role demands proficiency in SQL and Python, with a strong focus on code streamlining, refactoring, change management, and documentation.

  • Support regularly occurring data provisioning for Commercial model monitoring, model development, third parties, and other analytics.
  • Work closely with data scientists and Model analytics management to understand and fulfill data requirements.
  • Streamline and refactor existing code using best practices in SQL and Python to enhance performance and maintainability.
  • Develop new scripts and processes to automate repetitive tasks and improve data processing efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough data quality assessments and clearly articulate data anomalies to management and data consumers using root cause and trending analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data quality issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Adhere to change management practices to ensure that all code changes are reviewed, tested, and approved before implementation.
  • Track and document changes to code and data processes, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Occasionally participate in scrum development teams, supporting the vision of Enterprise Data Management and the modeling community contributing to project planning, development, and testing activities.

Job Description
Manages and develops information systems for clients; conducts data information analysis for a variety of studies under the direction of organizational standards. Develops strategies for data implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery.
Helps advise business, applications and operations counterparts to ensure data integrity and availability.
Structures the environment and creates logical storage units especially for size and physical locations, to map database elements into logical units.
Implements and supports technologies for managing and effectively utilizing multiple information sources, formats and uses. Resolves data integration and security issues for adherence to the organization’s quality standards.
Researches customers needs, conducts awareness and promotional sessions for potential customers.
