Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Lead with over 7 years of data governance experience and banking experience.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in data governance lead or similar role
  • Proficiency in data analysis and data lineage is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles, methodologies, and frameworks
  • Experience working on infrastructure projects
  • Risk-related experience
  • Strong understanding of data quality and auditing
  • Experience with compiling data dictionaries and documenting business functions
  • Strong working knowledge identifying critical data elements
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail.
    Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 12 months
    Pay: $90.00-$95.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data governance requirements and objectives
  • Establish data quality metrics and monitor adherence to data governance policies
  • Conduct data audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage
  • Provide guidance and support to business units on data governance best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data governance
