What you will do:
Data Insights Analyst
Hybrid position working from the Cineplex corporate office at 1303 Yonge Street, Toronto (Yonge, south of St. Clair) 3 days per week.
The Data Insights Analyst will join the Data Science & Insights team that empowers the Cineplex organization to optimize and delight the customer experience with data-informed insights and capabilities.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in evolving Cineplex’s ability to extract and present actionable data insights to key stakeholders in order to better understand and improve the end-to-end customer experience across Cineplex’s digital and offline channels. The Analyst is responsible for collaborating with product and design teams to support their KPIs and dashboard requirements, and communicating actionable insights to key stakeholders in order to improve the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Technical & Business Expertise

  • Provide analytical expertise of the customer and digital data ecosystem with a strong command of data analysis techniques and data collection processes
  • Develop and maintain user-friendly dashboards, scorecards, and presentations that clearly highlight the actionable insights and opportunities
  • Understand the “big picture” and how customer and market insights tie back to business priorities

Inspiring & Influencing

  • Be the subject matter expert to represent the customer data and digital analytics function on cross-functional product teams
  • Influence and use data insights to tell stories through distilling complex concepts into simple themes that are relevant to key stakeholders, teams, and executives

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with a variety of product development teams to define their business and data requirements to better understand the performance and effectiveness of various strategic priorities
  • Gather and prioritize net new data requests from key stakeholders to the data engineering and data science teams based on business value

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degrees in economics, computer science, engineering, or similar fields with a quantitative focus

Experience Needed:

  • 3-5 years’ experience with building data models, querying/organizing large datasets, and visualizing data into dashboards (i.e. SQL/databases, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, etc.) is required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics is required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with interpreting and presenting insights to a variety of stakeholders with varying data competencies, including executives
  • Experience with other Adobe products is considered an asset (i.e. Target, Launch, Experience Platform)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High proficiency in data storytelling and presentation, written, and verbal communication skills to executives and multiple stakeholder teams
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to perform effectively in an environment with many competing demands
  • Deep understanding of market research and analytics to ensure our analytics and insights practice is the gold standard in the industry
  • Familiar with agile methodology and practices
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Comfortable to challenge the status quo enabling effective decision making
