YOU WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:

• Project experience in the area of PowerBi and or advanced analytics.
• The design of enterprise data lake / analytic platforms or data warehouses and also maintaining user communities and managing stakeholders
• Supporting and implementing complex data management systems.
• Azure Data Technologies such as Data Warehousing, Data Factory, Purview, Data Lake and Data bricks

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and manage the Data Lake infrastructure on a cloud platform, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Analyse cloud spending for the Data Lake, allocate storage and compute costs to the relevant business areas, identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Enforce data security best practices implementing user access control, encryption, pseudonymisation of Personal Identifiable Information and auditing to ensure data governance.
• Ensuring proper maintenance and operation of the centrally managed data processes and the underlying frameworks for our cloud-based enterprise data lake platform
• Planning and coordinating the integration of additional data sources and developing the loading pipelines in the team and together with external partners
• Analysing data for possible inconsistencies that may skew analytical results
• Evaluating and documenting database changes or refinements
• Applying best practices when storing, organising, cleaning and mining data
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures for effective data handling and management
• Assessing systems and recommending necessary software, hardware and storage upgrades
• Ensuring that a company’s data management protocols are in line with regulatory standards
• Providing guidance and training for junior team members
• Streamlining data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics
• Provide development, support, maintenance, governance and technical architecture for the enterprise reporting tools which are currently Microsoft Power BI
• Define and recommend BI reporting standards, processes and technologies.
