Description:
THE POSITION
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Data Management Platform Lead to join our growing Organon Data and Analytics competency. This role can be based in Lisbon, Prague, Jersey City, or Plymouth Meeting.
The Organon Data and Analytics organization is transforming the availability and consumption of data to enable artificial intelligence and data-driven insights for internal and external stakeholders. We are seeking an energetic, forward-thinking leader that will continue to develop our data-related competency areas and solutions that support founders across our business functions.

Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/systems or equivalent experience.
- Seven plus years of data management experience, including pharmaceutical experience.
- Deep understanding of database design and management, including experience with SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing.
- Experience with data management, data modeling, data governance, and data integration technologies and tools, such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Teradata, Informatica, SAP, InfoSphere, Tibco, Denodo.
- Proven track-record of establishing and operationalizing data management capabilities and services.
- Proven track-record of stakeholder & vendor management.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- High level of accountability and self-drive.
- Positive mindset to overcome challenges and problems.
- Experience working in an agile IT environment is a plus.
- Experience with data mesh/fabric principles is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Drive Business Objectives: Develop and implement robust measures to align with business objectives, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity while safeguarding sensitive information.
- Continuous Optimization: Proactively optimize data processing and storage systems to enhance performance and cost-efficiency, ensuring seamless operations.
- Innovative Solutions: Actively seek opportunities for improvement, enhancing the value and adoption of AI-Ready data services and capabilities. Establish and track key metrics to measure success consistently.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge tools and technologies to bolster data engineering integration capabilities, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
- Collaborative Partnership: Forge strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, business process owners, and strategic vendors to define data requirements and drive impactful outcomes.
- Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technological advancements in data engineering and integration, incorporating best practices into our strategies.
- Factory Leadership: Provide exemplary technical leadership and mentorship to the data engineering and integration factory team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Project Management: Effectively manage and prioritize data engineering and integration projects, optimizing resource allocation to meet organizational goals efficiently.
- Strategic Alignment: Participate in strategic planning initiatives, ensuring alignment of data engineering and integration efforts with overarching business objectives, driving sustainable growth and success.
