Overview
Master Data Management (MDM) is a single authoritative source of key data across the enterprise that is obtained from trusted internal systems of record and vendor sources. Data is consolidated using established rules and aggregated into consumable data sets. Our content includes the complete and consistent view of client relationships across the globe with our GEMS ID providing the key to linking LEI (legal entity identifier), client, customer, counterparty, investment manager, broker and location data.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring State Street Master Data Management Policies (with respect to MDM procedures) are followed within agreed SLA timeframes.
  • Ownership of MDM operational processes, and assisting team members in completion of other MDM processes.
  • Assisting in creation of process efficiencies/automation.
  • Notifying local management of operational issues and recommending solutions.
  • Engaging with other State Street GTS offices and providing updates and the necessary reports to State Street GTS sites.
  • Managing the preparation of MI reports on MDM processes.
  • Preparing and reviewing status reports for senior management.
  • Identifying and solving the problems, implementing improvements. Escalating the issues to the Senior Management.
  • Representing the COE Team on the international forum.
  • Providing the support to People Managers if required.
  • Leading, developing and delivering the projects for both local and global committees.

Requirements

Specific Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to interpret MDM policies and procedures and put into practice.
  • Ability to train staff on the application of new procedures and policies.
  • Ability to engage with senior managers from different State Street sites globally and communicating confidently, effectively and clearly in both written and verbal forms.
  • Can flex and adjust to different reporting requirements of various State Street sites.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to make decisions.
  • Good language skills in English.
  • Good numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Bachelor’s degree - information science, data management, computer science, finance or business related preferred.
  • Previous data analysis/Data management experience preferred.
