SUMMARY
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Migration Specialist to join our implementation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for deciphering, mapping, cleansing, transforming, and ensuring the quality of customer data during the migration process into our solution. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and accurate transition of customer data, enabling our clients to fully leverage our platform.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- Proven experience in data migration, cleansing, transformation and validation processes;
- Knowledge of spreadsheet manipulation in Excel and Google Sheets;
- Proficiency in using ETL tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data manipulation;
- Familiarity with data modelling and relational databases;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret customer-provided data, often in the form of spreadsheets, to understand structure and content;
- Map customer data to our internal data model, ensuring compatibility and integrity;
- Perform data cleansing and transformations to rectify any inconsistencies, errors, or omissions in the source data;
- Develop and execute scripts or use ETL tools to automate the data transformation and migration process;
- Conduct thorough quality assurance checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of the migrated data;
- Collaborate with the Implementation and Customer Success teams to understand specific customer requirements and ensure data migration aligns with business needs;
- Provide support and troubleshooting during and after the migration process to address any data-related issues;
- Document data migration processes and maintain comprehensive records for auditing and troubleshooting purposes
