Description:

Management Advisory Practitioners (MAP) is seeking a talented Data & Operations Analyst to join our growing team!
This role is ideal for a professional with strong technological and analytical skills who is passionate about leveraging data and technology to enhance healthcare delivery across Ontario. By providing actionable insights and streamlining operational processes, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in improving patient care.
As a Data & Operations Analyst, you will collaborate with key team members at MAP to provide analytical support, implement digital integration solutions, and deliver operational insights to the Senior Leadership Team. Your responsibilities will include creating, maintaining, and developing internal tools to support data-driven decision-making, providing relevant KPIs to stakeholders, and streamlining processes for Practice Managers through technology. These efforts will directly contribute to better patient outcomes and operational excellence.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Exceptional data analytics experience and the ability to synthesize and analyze large data sets into relevant trends for operational decision-making.
  • Excellent understanding of digital workflow integration into the clinical environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize high impact tasks, and keep relevant stakeholders updated on progress.
  • Detail-oriented and trustworthy, with the ability to forecast potential issues during new process rollouts by tailoring tools to the end clinical users.
  • Strong organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Advanced or Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI etc.)
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI is required.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience following post-secondary education.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in computer science, with a focus in data analytics and/or business administration is an asset.
  • Experience providing analytics and/or software support in a clinical environment is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the operations team on KPI analysis, process improvement and digital tool development.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and ad-hoc analytics using PowerBI to assess clinic performance and streamline the data collection process for reporting.
  • Analyze existing clinic processes and provide recommendations to automate processes, and develop tools that reduce waste, minimize human error and enhance staff efficiency.
  • Work with the Corporate Controller to facilitate budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis on the performance of MAP’s clinics.
  • Utilize the Microsoft 365 suite of applications to integrate seamlessly into operations and develop strategies to optimize communication, automate manual processes, and increase the efficiency of MAP team members.
  • Provide ad-hoc support on projects and client acquisitions to the Head of Operations and the CEO on business development opportunities.
  • Support the accounting and finance department by automating bookkeeping and reporting tasks through technology integration.
  • Provide assistance to MAP team members with basic IT needs such as software troubleshooting, hardware issues, and collaborate with our IT consultants when necessary to address more complex IT issues.
  • Provide software support to MAP team members and create tools using advanced functions, such as macros and other data analytics features in Excel and other applications.
  • Create dashboards for new clinics by integrating data collection within the EHR system at each respective dental or medical clinic.
