Data Platform Engineer

Our Data Platform team within Commodities and Global Markets is responsible for building and maintaining the data warehouse and re-usable ETL pipelines for engineering teams. You will have the opportunity to work on building solutions for big data using the newest technology available.

What role will you play?
You will be responsible for building new features on our data platform primarily in Python, improve the platform that engineering teams use, and enhance the security vulnerability and credential management on the platform.
You will work closely with different teams including the Group Data Office, data onboarding engineering teams, technical testing teams, business analysts and architects while being involved in all stages of the SDLC from solution design through to build, test and demo to the business.

What you offer

• Knowledge of Python, Bash, SQL
• Experience using AWS or other cloud providers such as GCP or Azure Experience setting up CI/CD systems such as ArgoCD, Jenkins, Bamboo
• Knowledge of containerisation such as Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)

• Expert knowledge of big data/data warehouse management (Redshift)Experience setting up an ETL Orchestration framework such as Apache Airflow or alternatives (Dagster, Prefect, Luigi).
