Job Overview:
As the Product Manager you support the development and acquisition of multimillion-dollar, multifamily apartment home communities through quantitative analysis, modeling, and reporting. Here is the list of responsibilities:

Roles You Will Play:

  • Conduct product discovery with customers, discern requirements, and translate into user stories
  • Communicate with confidence, clarity and effectiveness in presenting to diverse stakeholders
  • Oversee the development of data engineering pipelines, ensuring alignment with business value and managing dependencies
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the business to facilitate feedback for continuous product improvement
  • Design and implement tools and processes to scale and improve product development practices
  • Execute on the prioritized roadmap by managing epics through an agile delivery model
  • Prioritize deliverables that align with the business and identify strategic opportunities with data using quantitative methodology
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle from discovery to delivery
  • Leverage Python or SQL for ad-hoc data analysis, providing insights and supporting data-driven decision making
  • Create release notes and present new features to stakeholders
  • Drive the adoption of Cortland products by the business through data

Building Blocks of Success:

  • Experience working with REST APIs and related tools and technologies used for data integration
  • Demonstrates a high degree of emotional intelligence and empathy for the customers pain points
  • Demonstrates a strong curiosity to learn new things and actively seeks opportunities to grow their skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to ask discerning questions during product discovery and translate requirements into user stories
  • Experience with Analytical AI, Data Science, or Gen AI, with demonstrated ability to gather requirements and prioritize AI-related use cases effectively
  • Exposure or experience with Data Mesh architecture
  • Exposure or interest in data governance best practices that promote data quality
  • Degree in a quantitative, analytical, or financial discipline
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Expertise with data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, or PowerBI
  • Understanding of real estate dynamics is nice to have
