EXPERIENCE:
- Several years of experience in data protection, information governance, or a related field.
- Recent experience in a similar role, with knowledge of the UK GDPR.
- Experience in managing data protection compliance within an organisation.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Good understanding of UK GDPR and data protection laws.
- Familiarity with data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and data breach management.
- A CIPP/E, CIPM, or other relevant data protection certification is desirable.
SOFT SKILLS:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
WHAT IS THE ROLE?
We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Manager to assist the Group in responsibly managing the personal data we hold and ensuring that we comply with data protection regulations.
The quality, security and management of our data is important to us. The Data Protection Manager will work with the Data Protection Officer to ensure that our data protection policies and procedures are working effectively. We are becoming more digitised as a business and we now require a full-time employee to work with our in-house teams to ensure data protection remains effectively incorporated into our policies and procedures.
