Responsibilities:
Are you passionate about data quality and accuracy, driven by curiosity, and ready to play a critical role in a dynamic organisation? If you’re looking to turn your analytical expertise into meaningful impact, then you may be our next Data Quality Analyst. Reporting into our Head of Data Governance, you’ll form an integral part of the team, ensuring that high-quality data is a foundation to Arco’s ongoing success, particularly in todays data driven world!
Out Data Quality Analyst vacancy is a hybrid position, with 2 days office based from our head office in Hull and the rest remote working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with cross-functional teams to document identified activities for automation in areas such as data quality monitoring, metadata management, or master data management
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure effective communication and collaboration on projects related to master data
- Monitoring and measuring compliance with data governance policies/ standards and identifying areas for improvement or enhancement
- Supporting the Head of Data Governance with the adherence to regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) by working with legal and compliance teams
- Implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards that align with industry best practices
- Collaborating with the Data Engineering team to ensure that data pipelines and systems adhere to data governance policies and standards
- Deliver training programs for employees on data governance policies, procedures, and best practices whilst staying up to date with emerging trends in data governance
- Using data modelling techniques to identify ways in which an organisation can operate more effectively.
- Gathering Metadata (TDE, BDE, Lineage)
- Exploring how the organisation is currently operating via research, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, collecting quantitative data
- Working with stakeholders across the organisations to map out data processes and understanding different solutions, their risks, benefits, and impacts
- Managing small change through project management techniques

The ideal Data Quality Analyst will be/have:
- Experience with data management practices, including data quality, data integration, and master data management
- In-depth understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
- Extensive knowledge of GDPR and other data protection regulations relevant to the UK and Ireland
- Familiarity with data governance & quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) and experience managing data governance projects and initiatives
- Knowledge of data modelling and database management systems
- Experience with metadata management and data cataloguing
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights with the ability to identify and resolve complex data issues
- Excellent communication skills to convey data governance concepts and requirements to stakeholders and cross functional teams
- Experience in developing and delivering data governance training programs, with the ability to educate all stakeholders
- Knowledge of data security principles, practices and experience working with IT and security teams to protect data assets
- Experience in driving change and promoting data governance culture within an organisation
- Ability to manage resistance and foster adoption of data governance practices
