About the Position
We are looking for a strong starter with a passion for producing positive results to data challenges. We need someone who is able to keep their calm in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly, and adaptability is a must. Professional qualifications and skills include: Extensive experience working in a data quality analyst / BI analyst role Strong practices in SQL development Must have a good understanding of end to end development of PowerBI Reports (ETL, data modelling, expression writing and report writing) Advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot etc.) Strong analytical skills Good experience partnering with the business and/or IT on data projects Experience with data mastery Experience using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) is desirable Competencies Strong understanding of data quality principles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Strong communication skills Good commercial awareness Effective upwards management Good relationship management skills A proactive, self starter Good presentation skills Ability to demonstrate previous data governance and data quality experience, preferably within the insurance sector

Lockton International is seeking a detail oriented, self-motivated analyst to join our Data Governance Team. The role is crucial in establishing the development of reporting mechanisms to evolve and maintain data quality standards across the European business. The analyst will focus primarily on the Specialty business and will utilise strong SQL and Power BI skills to develop reporting that will inform updates to standardise data usage whilst monitoring anomalies and inconsistencies in data processing across the business.

Responsibilities:

The day-to-day responsibilities include tasks such as:
The development of SQL tables to store critical data and to develop data quality BI reports

The use of BI reports to monitor data processing on systems against defined data quality standards

Managing the company data quality log and working with business teams to facilitate the remediation of reported issues

Conducting mass system updates using queries to correct / standardise data

Partnering with IT, project teams and business stakeholders to enable system enhancement to improve data quality

Assist in implementing data management platforms to enable better data quality and Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities

Assist with data led projects and their implementation across systems and business teams

Own the development and management of data glossaries to establish enterprise data standard definitions
