JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Data Quality Analyst is in-charge of

• Collecting, interpreting and analyzing data and trends in order to draw findings and provide insights to business
• Conducting impact analysis on new and updated data quality and profiling rules
• Ensuring accuracy of data quality reports and dashboards
• Identifying and evaluating areas for improvement in data management
• Documenting, maintaining and securing Business sign-offs of data quality and profiling rules
• Ensuring standard document control management, such as versioning and regular review, is applied
• Scripting, extracting, and preparing data sets for Business to act on
• Participating and supporting data programs and initiatives

The role reports to Data Governance Manager.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Skills in SQL, MS Excel, and VBA
• Strong knowledge of maintaining and updating Tableau dashboards and/or Quicksight
• Strong knowledge of creating, interpreting, and trouble-shooting data wrangling scripts in R and/or Python
• Knowledge of cloud computing platform such as AWS
• Knowledge of setting up, maintaining, and trouble-shooting profiling rules in Informatica Data Quality modules
• Strong skills in data profiling and discovery, root cause analysis, and information chain analysis.
• Knowledge of data governance concepts, principles, and best practices
• Strong knowledge on the use of quality management and problem-solving methodologies such as Ishikawa (Fish Bone) Diagram, Poke-Yoke (Fool-Proofing), and Lean concept.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements for Data Privacy, data classification, and data access management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Management, Industrial Engineering or any Engineering field.
• 3 to 5 Years experienced in the field of Data Quality Management and Data Analysis
• Experience in querying and pulling data from SQL, and/or AWS Data Stores
• Experience in creating, interpreting, and trouble-shooting R and/or Python scripts
• Experience in BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, SAP BOBI and/or Quicksight
• Experience in Data Quality Tools, such as Informatica MDM, Talend Data Quality, and/or Precisely Trillium Quality
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with stakeholders and end-users at all levels.
• Can work independently or as part of team.
• Must be willing to work with and learn new technologies
• Must be action- oriented with excellent follow through

• Documenting DQ profiling rules, securing business sign-off, and ensuring proper version control
• Gathering, processing, and analyzing data to uncover trends and recommend business actions
• Recommending business and IT initiatives that will help improve Data Quality and prevent recurring issues
• Scripting, extracting, and preparing datasets for Operations, Distribution, and/or Marketing to act on
• Developing, maintaining, and communicating DQ reports and dashboards
• Simulating the results and Business impact if proposed DQ initiatives and fixes are deployed
• Participating and supporting Data programs and initiatives
