Description:
We are seeking a data leader with strong technical skills to lead on the Trust’s data quality efforts - from delivering and embedding excellent data quality practices across our services and teams, to designing and developing data quality assurance frameworks and monitoring procedures. This role includes line management, and is an incredible opportunity for a driven and passionate individual seeking the next step in their career. On a daily basis this person will be helping ensure the data at the heart of the Welsh Ambulance Service decision making is accurate, available and relevant, supporting our ambition of improved patient safety and outcomes.
Ensuring that data and information used by the Trust for reporting and performance (for commissioners and Welsh Government), and for operational, clinical and strategic decision-making are of good quality (i.e. accurate, valid, reliable, timely, relevant and complete).
Taking ownership of data quality checks, actions to address issues, and improvement plans across the WAST data ecosystem and lifecycle.
Ensuring data assurance informs organisational awareness and central decision-making by developing and implementing a comprehensive and integrated Data Quality Assurance system across the Trust.
Support the ambition of the Data, Information & Insight Pillar of the Digital Plan, in creating a strong information culture, and providing specialist expert advice, guidance and training on data quality to improve and maintain data systems, stores and intelligence.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
