POSITION OVERVIEW

The Data Remediation Manager will be responsible for supporting the Data remediation Lead in day-to-day operations of the Data Remediation team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be eligible for a Secret (Level II) Clearance with the Government of Canada
  • Must have two years of experience in planning, documenting, and executing substantial Master Data Remediation involving master data records in an ERP system including: Initial Master Data quality analysis, Consultation with data owners in the development of a Master Data Remediation Plan, Establishing data governance rules within a Large Organization, Documentation of a Master Data Remediation Plan, or Management and oversight of the execution for a major Data Remediation imitative
  • Must have completed a University degree in one of the following domains: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Applied Math
  • Must have experience working on at least one (1) project which utilized SAP Information Steward to analyze Master Data quality
  • Must have experience working on a least one (1) project which utilized SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) to enforce Master Data quality rules
  • Must have experience working on at least one (1) project in planning, documenting, and executing a Master Data Remediation* plan for a Client operating SAP ECC 6.0 or higher
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of DND’s data systems and processes would be an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the overall Data Remediation strategy as defined by the Data Remediation Lead in collaboration with DND
  • Follow fleet-specific data and business rules as well as item type-based data rules and data remediation procedures
  • Provide QA on Data Remediation Technician work to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Assign work to Data Remediation Work to ensure deliverables on the team are done
  • Respond to UID Lead questions that need escalation beyond Data Remediation Technicians
  • Provide training to Data Remediation Technicians as required
  • Solicit input from fleet data owners on the quality of their fleet data to inform Data Remediation plan
  • Identify external data sets, databases, and libraries (as provided by DND), and develop methods to utilize them to support and augment Data Remediation Activities
  • Follow Data Remediation workflows as defined by the Data Remediation Lead, including data governance procedures
  • Report, as required on performance management metrics and reporting to evaluate efficacy and cost per record of Data Remediation activities
  • Report upon progress for each active Task Authorization, including any key performance indicators developed
