Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Data Scientist based out of Dallas, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 2 or more years of experience performing Statistical Analysis
  • 2 or more years of experience using research tools and methods
  • 2 or more years of experience using SQL for data analytics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED and typically 3 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and development metrics that evaluate work load optimization in planning organization
  • Determines, defines, and deploys predictive/prescriptive analytic solutions to meet business requirements in forecast accuracy, inventory and stock transfer optimization, as well as other key processes
  • Develop supply chain metrics to track progress to plan over time and stress test the order pipeline for risks and opportunities
  • Analyze supply chain data to determine order, holding, and shortage costs for use with optimal Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) models with shortages
  • Support Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) through improvements in data insights and dashboards
  • Create design requirements for evaluating low demand parts with zero demand in one or more months
  • Connect systems and large data sets across business units and functions to develop forecast models that support shifting business and market trends
  • Mine data using SQL skills from multiple source systems to support analysis required
    This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
