As a Data Scientist in Biosensing (m/f/d), you will support the Chemical Test Development department in developing and optimizing formulations for sensors used in the continuous measurement of glucose or other diabetes-related parameters.

Your key responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the definition, planning, and development of electrochemical sensors in terms of their formulation and design within the scope of global and cross-functional development projects.
  • You coordinate the setup and further development of a database that contains all relevant formulation data and enables development-related decisions.
  • You regularly conduct multivariate correlation analyses and support DoE-based investigations.
  • You perform statistical evaluations of relevant electrode formulations and contribute to their continuous improvement.
  • You coordinate the data infrastructure for development-related configuration management.
  • You are responsible for GMP-compliant documentation and ensure the creation of all necessary development-related documents as part of your role.
  • You keep an eye on the latest technical and scientific developments and continuously evaluate their applicability in future lifecycles to improve products.

Your Profile

  • You hold a degree (M.Sc., ideally with a PhD) in Chemistry, Biophysics, Biology, or a similar field, with an additional focus on statistics.
  • You have several years of professional experience as a Data Scientist (m/f/d) in the development of medical or diagnostic products.
  • You have excellent knowledge in the formulation of electrochemical sensors and extensive experience in the development of medical devices.
  • Ideally, you also possess in-depth knowledge of electrochemical measurement techniques.
  • Six Sigma knowledge is an advantage.
  • You are familiar with best practices for data security and compliance in cloud-based data science workflows, and you have excellent language skills, both spoken and written, in English.
  • Personally, you impress with social competence and strong communication skills in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, as well as motivation and negotiation skills.
