Description:
As a data scientist, you provide the data needed to make business decisions, develop solutions and services adapted to business issues and understand member and client behaviour. You help diagnose problems, manipulate and analyze data, and roll out advanced analytics models. You provide opinions in accordance with the rules of your discipline and help develop recommendations and implementation plans. Your projects and initiatives require comprehensive knowledge of your field. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of your line of business to help solve business problems using data from the data warehouses. You provide data use guidance and support to stakeholders. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields to identify needs and present the proposed solutions. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Help mine, evaluate, feature engineer, inspect and adjust available data, and select predictors for predictive modeling
- Help operationalize advanced analytics solutions in response to identified client and partner needs
- Use statistical, machine learning and artificial intelligence methods to use data, and help develop and maintain models and segmentations that meet business needs
- Create the programming needed to prepare and mine data, and develop, evaluate, support, roll out and manage moderately complex models
- Prepare presentations and data visualizations to support the team’s business decisions
- Help define specifications to ensure model performance and keep documentation on data and calculation rules up to date
- Identify opportunities to improve rules and systems, and enhance data management tools

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
