DESCRIPTION:

Data Science is a foundational block to everything this company does. The data and analytics team research, develop and deploy Machine Learning models, novel algorithms and energy forecasts to optimise renewable assets, optimise power market participation and support project financing and revenue projections.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Mathematics/Quantitative field – Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics etc
  • 2+ years using Python and scientific computing - Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, ScikitLearn, etc.).
  • Experience developing and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience in time series forecasting - ARIMA, Regression, MILP, GARCH etc.
  • Extensive experience exploring and extracting insights from multi-dimensional and varying data sets.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, extract and analyse large complex datasets across energy generation, demand, weather and macro factors.
  • Develop and deploy ML models to forecast renewable energy generation
  • Perform time series forecasting for power and energy storage markets leveraging historical data to predict future trends.
  • Apply understanding of the mathematical/statistical fundamentals behind machine learning to improve existing applications and inspire new ones.
  • Maintain and optimise existing models. Forecasts and analytics tools/applications to ensure accuracy and performance
