Description:

We are looking for experienced Data Scientist to our team in Espoo, Tampere or Jyväskylä!
This permanent position involves a variety of tasks in data and analytics within our customer projects – the role can be tailored according to your preferences and skills. We help our customers in developing their business through digitalization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, solve problems, and implement data-driven solutions.
You will join a team of experienced professionals where you have the opportunity to work partially or entirely remotely. Naturally, you will have access to modern tools and strong co-operation with your colleagues.

As an Data Scientist at Etteplan, the role would include (but not be limited to):

  • Analyzing large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights
  • Developing predictive models
  • Staying up to date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning
  • Providing guidance and support to stakeholders on integrating AI methodologies into their business processes to facilitate data-driven decision-making
  • Communicating findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

We are looking for a person who has:

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g. SQL)
  • Strong proficiency in statistical methods and machine learning algorithms, including e.g. clustering, classification, anomaly detection, and optimization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • An applicable educational background

We appreciate also, if you are familiar with:

  • Pandas, NumPy
  • Pyspark, Pytorch, Tensorflow
  • Cloud
  • Notebook
  • GenAI algorithms, tech and methodologies: LLMs, Vision models, predictive neural networks
  • Data visualization systems (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)

Responsibilities:
