Our Risk Management team enables responsible growth through close collaboration with the business to protect EY from the risks that arise from its professional practice. The team works with the business to identify, monitor and manage EY’s risk, providing coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, compliance, regulatory, policy, security and risk management issues, as well as effectively managing ethics-related claims and queries. Through oversight of key risk processes, Risk Management helps to minimize the threat of litigation, avoid regulatory enforcement and limit damage to our reputation. Our Risk Management team is strategically focused on risk, embedding risk discussions into business planning activities at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of a Data Scientist, in the Global Risk Management function, will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the globe and with internal stakeholders. It will directly impact multiple KPIs within Risk Management and drive and support key initiatives. This role will analyze data to optimize existing processes and develop new solutions. Ability to find answers is limited only by one’s creativity in leveraging a vast array of techniques and tools.
This role will work virtually with teams across geographies with some opportunities to travel for in-person collaboration.
TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE
- One (1) to two (2) years minimum of experience in data analytics, data visualizations, data scripting languages, analytics AI/ML, and database integrations
- Ability to create end-to-end AI/ML solutions around text analysis, forecasting, and driver analysis
- An analytical and critical thinking mindset with well-developed problem-solving skills and understanding of processes
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Fabric, and similar software
- Experience with SQL, XML, R, Python, SAS
- Ability to summarize complex concepts into clear, concise language appropriate for senior stakeholders
- Ability to perform well under pressure and take critical feedback positively, with an aim to improve
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint)
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders of a global brand company in a polished, professional manner with minimum guidance to identify and implement appropriate solutions
The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary range/s. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $75,500 to $137,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $90,600 to $155,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
