We are offering an Internship opportunity to talented candidates in the Data Science area in our Milan office.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data science, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply statistical techniques, develop machine learning models, and integrate AI-driven solutions into clinical trials and medical strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The program will provide education and hands-on training in data science, dashboarding, data visualization, and advanced analytics in real-world medical device projects and ensuring alignment with healthcare regulations. The trainee will execute cross-functional activities to ignite LivaNova medical excellence.
  • Assist in developing and enhancing dashboards to support NLP and AI capabilities.
  • Provide infrastructure support, focusing on the deployment of data-driven projects.
  • Contribute to R&D initiatives, with a particular focus on physiological control loops.
  • Collaborate with senior Data Scientists in validation activities.

The Individual

  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Pharmacy, or any other STEM.
  • Good knowledge of programming languages like Python or R; SAS would be an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory).
  • A detail-oriented individual with a methodological and accuracy-driven approach.
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment with a global team.
