    KBR is seeking a highly qualified Data Scientist to provide support for our customers in Chantilly, VA. This effort includes support to innovation labs developing new tools, models, and algorithms to operate and exploit satellite space and ground systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active TS/SCI with current polygraph
  • Have at least 10 years serving as a Data Scientist
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related quantitative science field
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in developing intelligent algorithms capable of learning, analyzing and predicting future events, turning those algorithms into AI models and systems, and then testing and maintaining them
  • Ability to demonstrate use large data sets to research, develop and generate algorithms that can learn and assess, analyze, and organize data, execute tests, and optimize the learning process to help develop high performance ML models.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or related quantitative science field
  • Experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programs
  • Experience with cloud development processes
  • Experience with industry system engineering practices
  • Strong people skills to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadership.
    Security Requirements: Must have an active TS-SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts scientific Research and Development towards the tasking, collection, processing, and dissemination of data
  • Collects substantial amounts of data using analytical, statistical, and programmable skills
  • Analyzes data sets to discover actionable patterns and trends for business use
  • Uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms, and systems to extract insights from structured and unstructured data
  • Applies mathematical, problem-solving, and coding skills to manage big data, extracting valuable insights.
  • Assess other’s R&D proposals for feasibility and progress towards mission goals
  • Other duties as assigne
