THE POSITION

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist to join our Time-series AI team and contribute to our mission of delivering excellence. The team is one of several teams in our central Design, Software and Data Science (DSD) unit within Technology Digital and Innovation (TDI). We specialize in processing and interpreting time-series data for various applications across Equinor and create and deliver innovative AI products that generate significant business value.

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in ML/AI product development and iterative work; from data generation/collection to visualisation and explainability.
  • Experience working with any of the following machine learning frameworks/libraries: sklearn, tensorflow, keras, pytorch, numpy, scipy.
  • Coding skills in Python, experience with containerisation and micro-services development.
  • Knowledge/experience developing real-world Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) applications such as prediction, personalisation, recommendation, optimisation and content understanding.
  • Knowledge/experience in creating ML workflows on sequences and timeseries with experience in applying signal processing and/or spectrum analysis is desirable.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral.
