As a line manager for two small sub teams and also as a Deputy Records Manager, this role can help with your personal development and people management skills.
As the Data Security & Protection Lead for the Trust you will be responsible for the successful completion, submission and audit of the new Data Security & Protection Toolkit.
Leading on creation, monitoring, review and submission of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), Information Sharing Agreements (ISAs), Data Security & Protection related Trust policies and processes, support and input for contracts and procurement.
Monitoring and maintaining excellent 97% and above current mandatory Data Security and Protection compliance.
Leading Trust risk and incident response around Data Security & Protection helping to raise awareness and provide support for lessons learned. Responsible for reporting Data Security & Protection incidents externally via Toolkit and ICO.
Supporting wider Trust Data Security & Protection ‘Team’ including SIRO and Caldicott Guardian. Responsible for new and annual refresher training for Information Asset Owners (IAOs) and supporting Administrators. In turn taking a lead role around the Trust Information Asset Register and Record of Processing Activities (RoPA).

Records Management is a friendly team within our larger IMT & Records Department.
Although we are a support function for wider Trust we do also have a small team of healthcare professionals to support the DPA - Subject Access Request process.
We support blended working, balancing working from home and office, with a mixture of working patterns and preferred working hours.
We support staff who have been displaced to help get back on their feet with temporary re-deployment. Many of our team have been through this process themselves and wanted to stay and now permanent.
Although we set high standards for our work, we also focus on our team health and wellbeing . Everyone has regular supervision, appraisals and personal development. We have home work risk assessments, health and wellbeing conversions and wider support for you when working remotely.
We meet every day with regular team meetings to make sure everyone is OK and we all know the plan for the day.
Records Management helps with support on best practice for Records keeping, access and sharing. We support requests including the DPA- Subject Access Request process, deceased patients, Court, Ombudsman, CQC, NMC, GMC. We also help support transfer of records to new care providers.
Our team is also responsible for the Trust Clinical Coding function in relation to summarising diagnosis and procedures.
We work closely with our colleagues in Patient Experience, Family Liaison, Patient Safety, Safeguarding and Legal Services
