As a Data Security SME, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of data security and compliance. Your role will focus on identifying, deploying, and configuring advanced toolsets to mitigate data security risks. You will collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to drive the implementation of robust data protection strategies, ensuring that all information security requirements are met and adhered to across the organization.
Responsibilities:
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting market research to identify toolsets that support the Data Security strategy
- Attending governance forums to secure approvals for deploying identified toolsets
- Deploying and configuring toolsets to address Data Security Control issues
- Collaborating with Data Security analysts to build, test, and deliver system changes
- Analyzing and articulating test execution for data discovery and protection tools
- Providing expertise on Data Security issues and representing the function in key discussions
- Supporting the delivery of tools to ensure compliance with Data Security policies and standards
- Ensuring global adherence to information security requirements through effective compliance measures
- Engaging with global and regional stakeholders to drive the IT Strategy implementation
- Monitoring and fine-tuning implementations to meet change objectives
YOU’RE IDEAL FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
- Expertise in DLP products, with experience in at least two (e.g., Symantec DLP, McAfee CASB, MIP data classification)
- Demonstrable experience in Data at Rest Security, including running classification scans and file labeling
- Experience in managing policy and whitelist guidelines
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead governance meetings with stakeholders, including Audit
- Formal education in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- A proven track record of making strategic business decisions with a focus on long-term implications and stakeholder needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across global teams
