The Position
We’re advancing science to ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Data Steward to support our enterprise data product owners in Finance. This role will support the operations of core enterprise data products in our finance data analytics domain.
These products serve as key enablers for decision making in the areas of global workforce, financial costs, personnel cost, sales, research and development financials, and CAPEX. The Data Steward will be responsible for supporting the data product owner with operations, data governance and quality, and enabling strong user and stakeholder engagement across various teams to enhance the digital system landscape.
You will be collaborating with your Data Product Owner and across Finance and beyond to ensure we architect and execute in building a sustainable data foundation for the Finance organization and our business stakeholders.
This role is for a Digital for Finance team member who can ensure data integrity, collaborate with various stakeholders, and support the continuous improvement of our data products.

The Opportunity:

  • Partner with Data Product Owners to manage and govern the portfolio of finance data products
  • Assist in executing data strategies, ensuring alignment with business and financial objectives
  • Conduct regular data quality checks, addressing discrepancies and taking corrective actions where necessary as well as performing data reconciliation
  • Uphold data governance policies and ensure adherence to organizational standards across all finance data products
  • Serve as the go-to resource for users of the finance data products, resolving queries and troubleshooting data-related issues
  • Work closely with data owners, data engineers, data scientists, and business users to resolve data-related challenges
  • Regularly update and maintain documentation related to finance data products, such as data dictionaries, data lineage, and user manuals as well as deliver training sessions and educational materials.

Who you are:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in finance or working with financial processes, data, and systems
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis, including cost management, budgeting, planning, and forecasting
  • Expertise in data governance, data quality management, and data reconciliation processes
  • Familiarity with digital system landscapes and the ability to coordinate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Strong collaborative skills, working alongside technical, finance, and business users to achieve shared goals
  • Experience in maintaining comprehensive data documentation and providing user training
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, ensuring that user needs are met and exceeded
