OVERVIEW:

Our company is seeking a strategic and analytical Data Strategist to drive data-driven decision-making and create actionable insights for our defense-related projects. The ideal candidate will possess a robust data background, understanding of data analysis methodologies, and experience within the Air Force or Department of Defense (DoD) infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data strategy or analytics role, preferably within the Air Force, DoD, or a defense contractor environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing, data modeling, and data mining.
• Expertise in statistical analysis and proficiency with analytics software (e.g., (* Power BI, Tableau, SAS, R, Python).*)
• Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets and conduct complex data analysis.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead teams effectively.
• Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
• Experience with cloud-based data storage and computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Active security clearance or prior experience in a security-sensitive position.

• Develop and implement comprehensive data strategies that align with organizational goals and support mission-critical operations.
• Lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data and analytics needs within the organization.
• Oversee the creation and governance of data policies, standards, practices, and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and availability.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, make recommendations, and forecast future needs.
• Collaborate with IT and security departments to ensure alignment with cybersecurity policies and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Drive continual improvement of data processes and platforms through innovative solutions and emerging technologies.
• Liaise with key stakeholders, including military and civilian personnel, to facilitate data sharing and understanding of data-related initiatives.
• Provide expertise and guidance in the selection and implementation of data management and analytics (analytic) tools.
• Communicate insights and strategic plans to executive leadership and other relevant parties, translating technical concepts into clear, actionable business (objectives)language.
• Manage projects and initiatives from conception to delivery, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
