JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS

A Coder codes instructions:
Takes a set of instructions and convert them into code for a computer to run. Their goal is to ensure that the computer understands the instructions given.
A Programmer writes programs:
Takes a task that needs to be done, break it down into steps, then turn those steps into instructions and code, for a computer to run. Their goal is to ensure the computer performs the required task dependably, accurately, and efficiently.
A Developer develops solutions:
Takes a given problem, then design and implement a software solution to that problem (including any programming/coding necessary). Their goal is to solve problems.
We are looking for a Programmer. One excited by the chance to become a Solutions Developer.

About The Role

The role will involve different aspects of building data analytics solutions. E.g.

  • Designing and implementing databases and data warehouses
  • Extracting data from various systems and APIs.
  • Building data analysis tools and dashboards

At first you will be contributing to different parts of this process as needed. Eventually, as your expertise increases, you will get the chance to become a specialist around a particular process or technology.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of SQL language and database development
  • Fluent at a programming language (any programming language is a good start but should be willing to learn more)
  • Great numerical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Data visualization tools and skills is a plus (Tableau, Power BI, etc)
  • Certifications (or degree) in a computing related field is a plus

Location:
The role is based in Benin City Nigeria,
Due to the amount of collaborative learning involved in the role, this is an on-site role, not a remote working one.

Benefits:

  • A joining bonus of £50 (British Pounds) when the candidate starts.
  • Salary during probation (6 month) is £150 a month and rises to £250 a month after probation is complete (further reviews take place twice a year).
