LOCATION: Bristol
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the People and Places (P&P) Data Hub as Data Visualisation Assistant Manager, supporting the strategy of workforce-based analytical insights for People & Places and the wider Group. This is a developing area which is key to supporting the Group’s and P&P’s strategic journey and the future of our workforce.

In joining us in the P&P Data Hub; you will help drive visualisation and storytelling within P&P by:

  • Translating complex data into engaging visualisations and interactive dashboard to inform decisions across the P&P landscape
  • Supporting the continuous development of existing dashboards across the P&P portfolio
  • Working to ensure the delivery of dashboard solutions and the resolution of design issues and risks in a timely manner
  • Educating business users how to use data visualisations throughout the decision-making process as an advocate of a data driven approach to new product development.
  • Supporting a data visualisation strategy that builds advantage and development of P&P initiatives

What you’ll need
You’re the sort of person who is enthusiastic about data/insight, and passionate about storytelling and visualisation. With an enquiring mind and an innovative nature, you can leverage essential problem solving skills to provide simple and effective solutions. You will be able to communicate complex stories using data with both technical and non technical audiences whilst challenging the status quo to drive new approaches to people data.
You can help drive progress on visualisation projects from start to finish while juggling multiple priorities. You should have experience in working with and supporting others and be willing to take any learning opportunities along the way.

Your background:

  • Your CV will demonstrate that you have excellent skills in in storytelling, visualisation, and dashboard development (Tableau expertise very desirable).
  • You’ll have experience gained in a data driven organisation in a business analytics, BI, or reporting function. (Experience working with People Data would be advantageous).
  • You’re comfortable using big data and sourcing data from strategic sources (data warehouses etc.)
  • You’ll also have the desire to learn new approaches, techniques and technologies and work in an agile way.
  • Your CV should highlight any evidence where you’ve contributed to building a data culture within a team
