ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Database/DevOps Engineer to join our team at the Australian Ocean Data Network (AODN). This role is pivotal in designing, optimising, and administering large relational and NoSQL databases that support the collection, management, and delivery of complex marine research data. You will be responsible for managing cloud database replication, migration, and backup/recovery processes, while also supporting the cloud engineering and infrastructure needs of the AODN. Additionally, you will manage database extract, transform, and load (ETL) workflows, ensuring database security, data migration, and administration. Your expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-based deployment will be crucial in this role.
